Sean Vierra--Owner and Staff Licensed Massage Therapist
My journey in bodywork originated from my mother's struggles with chronic pain and my goal of healing scoliosis in my own body. I believe bodywork isn't a luxury, but a necessity for the fast-paced life and demands of a modern world.
I have practiced some form of bodywork since 2005 and have studied in both Oregon & Utah, attaining the title of master bodyworker in Utah. After completing massage school, I studied with Marcia York under the supervision of Hawaiian Healing Academy to learn a traditional Hawaiian bodywork called Lomi Lomi and it continues to form the base of my practice. I specialize in injury work, trigger point therapy, deep tissue massage, headaches, neck pain, back pain, and traditional Hawaiian Lomi Lomi bodywork.
I have worked in many settings from resorts and spas, to clinics and private practice and aim to bring this diverse set of skills to the table for my clients every day that not not only heals the body but restores the mind.
Sande Maxwell--Staff Licensed Massage Therapist
I have been licensed since 1986. I first received my massage license in Florida then moved to Oregon and received my Oregon license in 1988. I was a certified Trager Practitioner for over 20 years, and it is still a great influence in my work.
Over the years I have been a student of The Berry Method, cranialsacral, myofascial release, and sports massage and have done massage at The Oregon Country Fair and Cycle Oregon as well as other sporting events around the state. I have practiced chair massage at the Saturday Market, the Holiday Market, and other various venues around Eugene.
I am a member of the Oregon chapter of the American Massage Therapy Association, past president of the Oregon Massage Therapy Association, and the Florida Massage Therapy Assocation.
I will work with you to achieve your goals of relaxation and pain relief using any and all modalities in my repertoire.
Lydia Scott--Staff Licensed Massage Therapist
I have practiced as an LMT since 2006. Both of my parents were bodyworkers, so I grew up with an understanding of the benefits of bodywork. Aside from doing massage I work and live on a small organic farm and teach gardening to kids. I am very grateful to work in fields promoting health and helping people feel their best. I enjoy working on an array of people from elders to athletes to children. I am happy doing relaxation, Swedish, deep tissue, myofascial release, sports massage, and I often mix these modalities in my work.
Shannon Foor--Staff Licensed Massage Therapist
I graduated from LCC's massage program in 2010. Originally from Ohio, I moved to Eugene in 2007 and immediately loved the weather, open people, and tight community. I will listen intently to your needs, leaving you with a positive, more relaxed approach to your day.
Karen Corbin--Staff Licensed Massage Therapist and Backup Aesthetician

Marissa Bauer--Staff Licensed Massage Therapist
I have been practicing therapeutic bodywork and massage since 2006. I have studied extensively at the University of Oregon, Breema Center, and Boulder College of Massage Therapy, and am a licensed massage therapist, Breema bodywork practitioner and an Ashtanga yoga teacher.
I attended and graduated from BCMT as a certified massage therapist in 2008. While at BCMT, my education focused on, but was not limited to, orthopedic, sports, and prenatal massage, incorporating aspects of Swedish massage, shiatsu, and neuromuscular therapies including myofascial release, trigger point therapy and soft tissue manipulation. I completed internships at the University of Colorado working with Division I athletes in an orthopedic rehabilitation center.
As a Bodyworker, my intention is to foster and facilitate the innate healing abilities in others and promote health and wellness in their lives. By integrating trigger point therapy, cupping, myofascial release, and soft tissue manipulation, I work to restore function, manage pain, and reduce stress, inflammation, and tension in the body. I adapt each session to the client's specific needs and preferences, offering a restorative, deeply relaxing, therapeutic massage.
Barbara Rubin--Staff Licensed Massage Therapist
Whether there is a specific area of concern, or just a need for an oasis of tranquility, I mindfully personalize each session to provide a focused, thorough, and genuinely relaxing massage experience.
My integrated method draws from Western & Eastern modalities including Deep Tissue/Trigger Point release; Myofascial Release; Acupressure; Shiatsu; Swedish Massage; and Tai Chi/Chi Kung, and yields successful relief from back pain, neck & shoulder pain, whiplash, headaches, limited range of motion, postural imbalances, & plantar fasciitis.
I have practiced massage therapy continuously since completing training at LCC in 1996.
"I am honored to be in a place and time to facilitate and encourage the well-being of others."

I believe massage is one of the most valuable and potent healing modalities available to help people experience optimal wellness. I specialize in Swedish relaxation massage, deep tissue, and myofascial release to address a variety of issues including injury rehabilitation, stress reduction, pain relief, and support for chronic conditions. Adding nearly a decade of Reiki and energy work to compliment my massage skills, I provide treatments that are deeply relaxing and revitalizing. Passionate about healing and learning, I am a committed practitioner and student of exploring how we can experience life at our fullest potential. Outside of work, I spend time enjoying family and friends, cooking, and being outdoors hiking and gardening. I am also dedicated to practicing yoga and dancing to cultivate strength and joy in my life.

Tanja Jenson-Staff Licensed Nail Technician
Having been born and raised in Southern Oregon, I am truly a part of this beautiful state. After receiving my B.S. in Psychology at Oregon Institute of Technology, I dabbled in a few different careers (real estate being the longest stint) and, after years of consideration, finally made the move to Eugene in the summer of 2012 to begin working here at The Pearl. Between the spa, all of the wonderful people I have encountered since being here and the welcoming atmosphere of this city, I have fallen in love with the holistic approach to health and would even dare to call myself a budding foodie now!
Although not a practitioner myself, I am so delighted that my job affords me the opportunity to encourage and help facilitate the connection between body and mind with the use of healing touch. Even more inspiring is being able to both experience and witness the before-and-after’s of this amazing field.
During my spare time I can be found reading, hiking, and enjoying the vast selection of beer, wine, cuisine, music, and arts the Northwest has to offer with friends.
Diana Glasser--Front Desk Staff Member
I was born and raised in Eastern Europe. I came to the US when I was eighteen for my undergraduate degree, and this year I graduated with a Masters of Science in Holistic Nutrition, hoping to start my own practice in the near future.
I have been at the Pearl Day Spa for over four years now. It has become like family to me. When I first started I was shy and my accent got thicker when I was nervous and spoke over the phone. I welcomed the challenge and worked hard at becoming in tune with our client's needs and improving my English. It is incredibly rewarding when someone sees a therapist that was the perfect fit for what they needed. It makes my day!
I am here to welcome clients, help them transition into their services and bid them goodbye afterwards. They value my input and I value their feedback. Scheduling well is my strongest super power at this job.
When I am not at work I am usually reading, hiking, cooking, or travelling in some crazy country with my husband.
Sally M--Front Desk Staff Member
I am a Eugene native who graduated from the U of O with a degree in Anthropology and a minor in History. I spent the previous six years working in independent bookstores in Eugene and Boise. The only thing I love more than reading a good book is finding the next best book to read. When I'm not at work I enjoy reading, drinking tea, and spending time with my friends, family, and cats
Heather Shuler--Front Desk Staff Member
I was born and raised here in Eugene, Oregon. I have been with The Pearl since 2012 and I love it here. When I am not at work I enjoy being outside.
Samani Berry-Finance Manager & Insurance Billing Specialist
Born in Eugene, raised in Northern Virginia, I returned to Oregon in high school and went on to graduate from South Eugene. I studied for a few years at the University of Oregon, only to find my passion in bodywork and healing. I began the massage therapy program at Lane and started working at The Pearl in the fall of 2015 and have found a new place to call home.
I love keeping up with my fast-paced department as well as getting to know all the practitioners here, who have so much to offer. The Pearl truly feels like a family - there is so much support, encouragement, and appreciation for one another and I am so grateful for everyone who has welcomed me with open arms.
Outside of school and work, I enjoy reading, yoga, being outdoors, and spending time with my family and friends. I also have a love for travel, learning about new cultures, and trying new and exciting foods. I hope to continue enjoying the opportunities life has to offer and to one day be at The Pearl as a massage therapist.
Sean Vierra--Spa Owner
In the chaos of modern life, we all crave escape. Whether that escape is exercise, vacation, time in the garden, or time on a massage table, I encourage people to find time for rest, repair, and healing in their life.
