Lisa Flammer

Lisa Flammer has been practicing skin care at the Pearl since 2002. Her training began at the Oregon Institute of Aesthetics in Southern Oregon where she learned European skin care. As a long time student, practitioner and teacher of yoga it was natural from Lisa to study East Indian Auyervedic techniques and philosophy. These studies have deepened her understanding of skin and inspired a more whole person approach to her work. Other training includes completion of a bodywork program in San Diego, Reflexology certification, Reiki II certification and Acupressure for shoulders, neck, and head with Kamala Quale here in Eugene. She has also studied advanced skin care at various institutes to increase her knowledge of acne, sensitive and aging skin.
In her practice Lisa works with clients to provide skin care that is both rejuvenating and healing. While skin health requires good habits with appropriate products, lifestyle and diet also significantly influence skin vitality. For these reasons she goes beyond product recommendation by exploring with her clients, how little shifts in lifestyle and diet can greatly improve and heal various skin conditions. With mutual commitment to in house treatments and consistent home care, her clients find very positive results.
In terms of aging, Lisa embraces the idea that every age has its own intrinsic beauty. Her goal is not to make her clients appear younger than they are, but instead to be as beautiful as they can be at this time in their lives. To achieve this Lisa blends scientific techniques with the more natural substances that have proven their effectiveness through time: There are the wonders of modern exfoliation treatments which help reduce pigmentation and minimize the appearance of fine lines balanced with the deeply nourishing natural products of the French skin care company, YON-KA. Lisa also utilizes with great effect her own hand made products, which can be purchased at the Pearl under the name Sukha.
Lisa intends her richly transformative treatments to inspire each person to adopt their own healing regimen at home. Skin care on a daily basis not only results in glowing beautiful skin, but also offers an opportunity to bask in the simple pleasure of doing something good for your-self.
